Zonta Woman to Woman - Mentor Award

Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, in March 2009, the Zonta Club of Mississauga launched their “Woman to Woman” Campaign: “Give to a Woman In Your Life!” with the production and distribution of bookmarks.  Each bookmark encouraged women to mentor, advocate, share, encourage and educate each other.

Mentor Award

The Mentor Award builds on this campaign and will honour a woman who has mentored another woman.

Who are we looking for?

A woman who has mentored another woman

• Who has gone the extra mile in supporting her 
• Who has truly made a difference in the life of the nominee 
• Who makes a practice of mentoring others 
• Who has been a catalyst in getting the nominator to pay it forward 
• Who exemplifies the Zonta values of mentoring, advocacy, and education

Criteria

• A woman who has mentored the nominator and made a profound difference in her life and who is a resident of Ontario
• You cannot nominate a member of your immediate family, nor can the nominee be an active member of Zonta International. 
• Where a group of you have identified a worthy recipient, please submit one nomination only. We recommend that you work together on the nomination.   

Timelines

• Deadline for nominations – January 30, 2012 
• Award presented – International Women’s Day Celebrations – March/April 2012
  

Award

The winner will be be presented with the award at the International Women’s Day event held in Mississauga by the Zonta Club of Mississauga, and have a day of pampering at an exclusive spa. Her story will also be published in Company magazine.
