Tomboy Trades was founded in March 2006 by Marissa McTasney.

After seven years in the corporate industry, the birth of her two children inspired her to jump into a passion and start a new career. She traded in her high heels for construction boots. Marissa attended the Women in Skilled Trades course at the Burlington Center for Skilled Trades and is working non-stop in all facets of her new business.

Tomboy Trades core business is to build a national online registry of women in the skilled trades and to provide durable, quality and fashionable work wear for women.

We currently carry work boots, hard hats, tool belts, safety glasses and t-shirts. Our philosophy is dream big, think the impossible and love passionately.
