Community Leadership Award

The Community Leadership Award recognizes the outstanding efforts of local businesses, agencies or organizations in the Region of Halton that have shown leadership response to our diverse community.

The Halton Multicultural Council welcomes nominations, including self-nominations on behalf of businesses, agencies or organizations of Halton who have demonstrated outstanding efforts in the following:

• advances in organizational diversity policy
• inclusive hiring practices
• efforts to promote inclusion through special programming, outreach and service delivery
• changes to existing services to respond to diverse clientele
• creating meaningful professional partnerships that enhance social inclusion
• providing learning opportunities within your business, agency or organization to promote mutual respect and understanding

The award will be presented at the HMC's Annual Fundraising Gala on Saturday, April 24, 2010
