Recent research undertaken by BtoB magazine found that as the economy begins to turn, business- to- business media pays dividends. The survey found that almost 40% of business-to-business marketers planned to increase their 2010 media spending.

The Center for Women's Business Research study shows that there are about 8 million women owned enterprises in the US. Those businesses have an annual impact of nearly US$3 trillion dollars and create or maintain more than 23 million jobs.

A new analysis by Emergent Research Homepreneurs: A Vital Economic Force, argues that home-based businesses are not only operating successfully, but also making contributions to employment and the economy. According to this study, home based businesses account for more than half of all US businesses and employ more people than venture-backed companies. Jointly, homepreneurs employ one in 10 private sector workers or a total of 13 million people.

A new study Making of a Successful Enterpreneur provides insights into company owners' views about what influences the success or failure of a start up business. Previous work experience, learning from previous successes and failures, a strong management team and good fortuen were all cited as important factors in success. Networks were also important to the success of 73% of the entrepreneurs.

A recent report, The Economic Impact of Women-Owned Businesses in the United States adds to current understanding of the economic contributions of women-owned firms. For the first time, this research provides a much more comprehensive picture of the total impact of women-owned firms, including the impact of businesses' purchases and the purchasing power of their employees and suppliers.
