The goal of Silver Compass is to bring peace of mind. We work with 'boomers' and those in 'later life' to help them make informed decisions around life adjustments and help them organize the services or technology solutions that they or their loved ones need. We help navigate options. Our menu of services are intended to reduce stress, save time and be cost effective.

We provide assistance in the areas of Financial Planning, Tax, Personal Accounting, Estate Planning/Organizing, Executor Support and Help with Housing Transitions or Home modifications for safety and accessibility. We also provide Home Health Technologies that help older adults stay well, stay safe, stay independent and stay connected to their loved ones and caregivers.

Community Profile

I am a passionate volunteer and community advocate...and believe that part of living in any community is the fundamental belief that companies and citizens that live in that community have a stake in the prosperity, health and quality of life in that community and therefore a duty to have a positive impact on that community. My goal with Silver Compass in terms of community involvement is to support programs and charities that will make a difference to an aging population both in body, mind and spirit. Two such charities that we are proud to support in the community are Ian Anderson House and the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario.

I am a former director of the local residents association and G50 task member for CGA Ontario. I am also a retired political volunteer and volunteer with Help for Haiti. I currently serve as a director of Citizens for Clean Air and I am a passionate advocate for Age Friendly Communities.

Personal Profile

I am a Certified General Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Professional Accountant on Aging. After spending 20+ years supporting a multitude of entrepreneurs in a financial capacity as CFO/Controller, I have worked in a variety of sectors including public practice as an accountant, financial planner and tax advisor.

However, a personal family crisis not unlike the experiences that many of my friends and colleagues are being faced with lead me to establishing Silver Compass as a meaningful way to make a difference. I am now able to couple by professional skills with my passion to serve, to help others navigate the options, make informed decisions and ultimately bring peace of mind.
